Amanda Sue Rider, age 34, of Holland, passed away on Thursday, January 27th, 2022 as she was surrounded by family.

Amanda was born on December 7th, 1987 in Zeeland to Larry Monroe and Pamela Tomsheck. She was just such a beautiful person that loved life, adventure, road trips, camping, vacationing with, and being around family. Maddison was her life and everything. Amanda had a huge love for animals of all kinds and always worried about wildlife. Her biggest love was children. She loved her job at West Ottawa schools and loved the kids so very much. She was Miss Amanda and she lit up a room.

Amanda is survived by: her husband, Charles Rider; daughter, Maddison Rider; parents, Pamela (William) Tomsheck and Larry Monroe; brothers, Eric Monroe and Matthew Monroe; grandmother, JoAnne Zuwerink; uncles, Jim (Lisa) Cook, Jeff (Patsy) Cook, Chris (Brooke) Cook, Uncle Rick (Hope) Monroe, Uncle Tom Monroe, Aunt Linda Holford (Mike), and Aunt Laurie; many friends and her Lakeshore Family and many cousins.

A celebration of Amanda’s life will take place at Lakeshore Church of Christ, 711 Butternut Dr. Holland, MI 49424 on February 19th at 11 am. Officiated by Pastor Mike Scholten.
