LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Killed in Lame Duck last December by the state Senate, the Upper Chamber has now approved a House bill that would establish six new satellite SmartZones in Michigan, including one in the Holland-Zeeland area. These would be in addition to 15 established areas that encourage high-tech development through the promotion of resource collaboration. Freshman Republican Representative Daniela Garcia picked up the ball on this issue from her term-limited predecessor Joe Haveman.
