WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – Peter Haines’ appointment as the new superintendent for the Ottawa Area Intermediate School District was made official when he and the district’s board agreed on a three-year contract with an annual salary of 180 thousand dollars. Haines leaves his post as Greenville’s school chief on July 1st to replace Julie Gillespie, who handled the OAISD’s top duties on an interim basis when Karen McPhee accepted a post as Governor Snyder’s senior education policy adviser.
