ALLENDALE, MI (WHTC) – Plans for a new parking lot for Grand Valley State University commuters are being held back by concerns raised by nearby neighborhoods.
The property is located between GVSU’s Allendale and Grand Rapids campuses where a proposed bus route will be making a stop. Grand Rapids planned to lease the parking spaces to downtown commuters, but residents near the proposed lot believe officials have not heard their voices.
City Commissioners are asking GVSU to increase their public engagement on the project before moving forward.
