HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A farewell Open House was today in Holland City Hall for outgoing Mayor Kurt Dykstra. It was his final official act as the Tulip City’s top elected leader before he becomes the new president of Trinity Christian College in the Chicagoland area on Wednesday. Mayor Pro Tem Bob Vande Vusse of the Fourth Ward takes over as interim mayor, per city charter guidelines, until he and fellow council member Nancy DeBoer face off against each other in the November 3rd General election.
