ZEELAND, MI (WHTC) – Zeelmania kicks off Monday July 6th in downtown Zeeland with a balloon drop at 6:15 p.m.
Zeelmania was created by Spectrum Health Zeeland Community Hospital, Zeeland Festivals and the city of Zeeland as a way to rearrange and draw more attention to downtown, add a weekly evening activity to the community calendar, all while focusing on the importance of healthy living.
There will be a circus, Dee Jay the clown and a fire truck will lift hundreds of balloons up high and drop them at the countdown to children waiting below who will be able to find all types of prizes.
The YMCA Veggie wagon will offer healthy snacks and the Zee Bus will be there with summer reading programs. Many talented artists will offer face painting and there will be a splash pad to cool off in.
Zeelmania takes place in downtown Zeeland every week on an alternating schedule of Main Street or Elm Street.
