HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – An 11-million-dollar redevelopment of the Holland Civic Center and its adjacent property is in its future. Most of the parking lot to the east of the to-be-renovated 61-year-old structure will be turned into a park that will include a water-jet splash pad, a central green, a children’s sculpture garden, a band shell, and a reflection pool that can double as a winter skating rink. An anonymous two million-dollar gift is seeding the publicly-privately funded project. Dirt could turn as early as next summer.
