HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Police are looking for a hit-and-run driver who struck a pedestrian this morning on 48th street north of Regent Blvd. Two individuals were walking to work when a vehicle was traveling southbound on 48th and struck one of them, a 46-year-old man from Holland.
Captain Dykstra from the Holland Department of Public Safety reported that a vehicle went up in flames at 6:10 a.m. with preliminary evidence indicating that it may have been the same vehicle involved in the hit-and-run. Three individuals fled the scene.
Police are pursuing leads on the vehicle and the suspects. The pedestrian was taken to Holland Community Hospital and is being treated for serious leg injuries.
