TALLMADGE TWP, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Deputies were dispatched to a motocycle versus truck injury accident yesterday evening in Tallmadge Township at Luce and 20th Avenue.
Investigation reveals that a truck driven by Zachary Brill, 19 of Hudsonville, was driving west on Luce turning into a private residence. As he started to make his turn he was hit on the passenger side by a motorcycle driven by Aaron Tipton, 23, of Grand Rapids. Both occupants of the truck reported not seeing the motorcycle in their mirrors.
Sgt. Matt Wilfong of with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department says there is a hill just east of the residence, and it is believed that the truck did not see the motorcycle turning.
Tipton the driver of the motorcycle was transported to Spectrum Hospital by Life EMS where he remains in stable condition. Brills front seat passenger Heath Brower, 18 of Zeeland suffered a minor hand injury and was transported to Spectrum Hospital in good condition.
Responding agencies were the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol, Wright Tallmadge Fire Rescue and Life EMS.
