WEST OLIVE (WHTC) – Ottawa County authorities are looking for a man who broke into a party store in West Olive early Sunday morning. Deputies were called to the Botello Grocery on Lake Michigan Drive, just east of U.S. 31, shortly before 3 a.m. Sgt. Christie Wendt of the Sheriff’s Department says the owner of the party store, who lives in a downstairs basement, heard the sound of glass breaking in the store above and saw someone running from the building to a waiting car, which then took off eastbound on Lake Michigan Drive. Wendt says they are looking for a light-skinned male, 5-9 to 5-11, about 200-210 pounds, and last seen wearing a blue short-sleeved shirt and blue jeans. The vehicle is believed to be a newer, small, white, four-door vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to call the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department or Silent Observer (1-877-SILENT).
