HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The first of six scheduled public meetings over the next two weeks on a proposed Holland-to-Detroit passenger rail line was on Monday evening. The 90-minute session in Holland High’s Cafeteria had representatives from the Michigan Environmental Council and other rail enthusiasts on hand to gather input and share information on the Coast-to-Coast Passenger Rail Study, looking at three options for routes between the Tulip City and the Motor City. A final report on the matter is expected by the end of the year, with initial estimates of establishing the service by 2024.
