HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – For the first time in nearly a year, the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality will issue an Air Quality Alert for the entire Lakeshore tomorrow. Conditions for elevated ozone levels are expected, and residents are asked to cut down on various activities that contribute to ozone formation. Holland’s MAX Transit will offer free rides on its fixed bus routes in an effort to cut down on vehicular traffic volume. There were three Action Days in the region in 2014, the last coming on July 22nd.
