MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Sheriff’s Corrections Deputy Dennis Robert Smith pleaded guilty in Muskegon District Court to misdemeanor “super drunken” driving charges without a plea deal or sentencing agreement, according to his lawyer. He was pulled over on May 1st in Muskegon with a blood-alcohol count more than two times the legal limit. Smith is free on bond, remains on the county payroll pending a final disposition of his case, and could get up to six months in jail when he is sentenced on September 1st.
