MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC) – Three Muskegon-area beaches are safer now due to new safety equipment that will help people from drowning.
The equipment has now been installed at Pioneer Park, Pere Marquette Beach and Muskegon State Park. According to Sgt. Todd Dunham of the Muskegon County Sheriff’s Department, it includes life rings, rescue boards, life vests and throw bags.
Money for the devices was raised by Mercy Health.
