WRIGHT TWP, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Deputies received a call about a reckless driver near I-96 and 32nd Ave in Wright Township yesterday evening.
According to Sgt. Matt Wilfong with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, the caller who spotted the vehicle, lost sight of it and then came upon the crash a few minutes later. The blue Buick LaSabre was traveling eastbound on I-96 when the driver lost control and ran off the road. The car went into the ditch and rolled over.
The driver was pinned in the car and had to be extricated by Wright/Tallmadge Fire Rescue.
The driver, a 20-year-old mand from Dorr was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital. His name is being withheld pending possible charges.
