HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – For the second straight year, a Hope College chemistry professor has received a Teacher-Scholar Award from the Dreyfus Foundation. Dr. Jeff Johnson follows in the footsteps of Dr. Jason Gilmore in earning the honor based on scholarly research with undergraduates as well as a compelling commitment to teaching. It’s one of seven such 60 thousand-dollar awards given nationally. Dr. Johnson earned a Faculty Start-Up Award from the Foundation in his first year at Hope in 2007.
