POLKTON TWP, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Sheriff Deputies were dispatched to a one-car-rollover crash at 60th and Grafield in Polkton Township yesterday evening.
According to Sgt. Jay Douglas, the driver, whose name is being withheld, is in stable condition at Spectrum Butterworth Hospital after a 1996 Ford pick-up was eastbound on Garfield Street when he ran off the roadway to the right, lost control and overturned several times before coming to rest in a ditch.
The driver was treated at the scene by a nurse who witnessed the crash prior to rescue units arriving.
Alcohol was a factor in the crash. The driver is an 18-year old man from Coopserville.
