GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – Ottawa County Circuit Court Judge Jon Hulsing heard arguments over a lawsuit against the City Of Grand Haven seeking the restoration of a 48-foot-tall Christian cross on Dewey Hill, but he didn’t say when he would decide on whether to allow the litigation to go to trial, or to dismiss the case. The city pulled the icon down after legal threats were made from civil rights groups. Citizens of Grand Haven claim that such a removal violated state and federal constitutional rights.
