HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Eighteen months of probation and 200 hours of community service was handed down this afternoon to Christopher DenHerder. The 28-year-old Holland Township man pled no contest to a misdemeanor count after his vehicle struck and killed bicyclist Rojelio Beltran as the 47-year-old Holland man pedaled in front of him while crossing 18th Street at River Avenue on May 2nd. District Court Judge Susan Jonas opted not to sentence DenHerder to up to a year in jail due to having no prior record.
