EAST LANSING, MI (WHTC) – State Representative Cindy Gamrat made her first public comment since allegations of an adulterous relationship with fellow lawmaker Todd Courser of Lapeer broke a week ago. Speaking in the offices of noted criminal attorney Anthony Abood, the Plainwell Republican expressed remorse for her actions, said that she is cooperating fully with a House Business Office investigation, and that she will not resign her seat despite calls from both side of the political aisle for her to do so. Gamrat did add that “all options” remain on the table as to her legislative future, and that she does plan to be in the Captiol when the House reconvenes this coming Tuesday.
