HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 19-year-old Holland woman is free on 10 thousand dollars bond following a Thursday night stabbing that hospitalized a 17-year-old Holland woman.
Anastasia Garcia only had to post a thousand dollars to be released after she was arraigned on felonious assault charges stemming from the incident near Riley Street and 136th Avenue on Holland’s North Side. Neighbors had initially called 911 after seeing knives flash during what they claimed was a large-scale altercation, although none of the combatants were on the scene when deputies arrived.
When Antonia Ayala was admitted to Holland Hospital and treated for two stab wounds to the back and a slice to her arm, investigators were then able to piece things together, and a subsequent arrest of Garcia ensued. It is believed that the two were acquaintances prior to the incident.
The case remains under investigation.
