HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Lakeshore Housing Alliance, a program of Greater Ottawa County United Way, is hosting its annual Project Homeless Connect event tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Midtown Center at 96 W 15th Street.
In 2014 in Ottawa County, 1,496 people were identified as homeless at some point in the course of the year. The event will feature a free lunch, door prizes, personal care items, haircuts, various health screenings, Medicaid enrollment, housing assessments, GED registration and more.
Project Homeless Connect aims to improve access to services for people facing housing crisis in Ottawa County, and to increase collaborative involvement of business, non-profot community, and individual volunteers to work together to create solutions for those in need of stable housing.
