GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – Jury selection is slated to begin on Wednesday morning in the courtroom of Ottawa County Circuit Court Judge Ed Post in the murder trial of Victor Donaldson. He was 16 when he allegedly stabbed 18-year-old Ja’Paris Rodgers to death during a late-night altercation among two separate groups of teens along Riley Street on Holland’s North Side on July 31, 2014. Donaldson has contended that it was an act of self-defense. During his incarceration, he reportedly attacked an Ottawa County Jail employee, with a complaint filed against him. Court officials say that the trial could last more than a week.
