GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – The prosecution has rested its case following two and a half days of testimony in the Victor Donaldson open murder trial. He was 16 when he allegedly stabbed 18-year-old Ja’Paris Rodgers to death during what deputies are saying was a gang-related brawl along Riley Street on Holland’s North Side nearly 13 months ago. Donaldson’s defense contends that this was a matter of self-defense. The trial will resume before Ottawa County Circuit Court Judge Ed Post on Tuesday morning.
