LANSING, MI (WHTC) – Lakeshore unemployment remained unchanged between June and July, in monthly numbers compiled by the Michigan Department of Treasury, Management and Budget. Ottawa County’s four percent rate is still second statewide to Mackinac’s 3.3 percent, while Allegan is still tied for fourth with Clinton County at 4.3 percent. State Labor Market Information and Strategic Initiatives officials say unemployment rates in local markets showed “very little movement” statewide from June to July.
