WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – Harbor Humane Society in West Olive is offering adoption specials starting September 1, as the shelter is filling up.
Summer, in the animal welfare world is also known as Kitten Season One and Kitten Season Two due to how fast cats reproduce during mating season.
Starting tomorrow through September 30, all cats, including kittens are fee-waived. Normally adoptions fee would run from $90 for kittens and $75 for adult cats. All dogs five months and older are only $50. Normally the fee is $175.
To help make the adoption process go faster, potential adopters are encouraged to fill out an online application at www.harborhumane.org/adopt/adoption-agreement
Applications will also be accepted on-site at their location at 14345 Baglet St. in West Olive. Hours are Monday through Friday from 12-6 p.m. and Saturday Noon-4p.m.
The fee waived/reduced fee adoptions are made possible through a generous grant from the BISSEL Pet Foundation.
