GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – From five to 15 years in prison was the sentence handed down in Ottawa County Circuit Court to Lorice Lee Young, a 27-year-old Holland man who didn’t contest felony assault and habitual offender charges in a plea deal with prosecutors. Young allegedly stabbed a 24-year-old man six times in the torso during an altercation at a James Gate Court residence last November. The victim, who did recover from serious wounds, testified in a preliminary hearing that he was fighting with another man when Young approached and began stabbing.
