MUSKEGON, MI (WHTC) – Nine months of probation and 875 dollars in fines and fees were the sentence handed down to Dennis Smith of Muskegon. The 42-year-old Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department corrections officer pled guilty to super drunken driving charges stemming from being pulled over on May 1st in Muskegon. He could have received up to six months in jail. Smith also faces an internal disciplinary hearing on Thursday before Sheriff Gary Rosema and Undersheriff Steve Kempker.
