ALLEGAN TWP., MI (WHTC) – An unnamed “elderly” woman is unhurt after crashing her pickup truck into a power pole guide wire off of M-40 near Monroe Road west of Allegan around the Noon Hour. The wreck knocked out power to nearly 200 Consumers Energy customers in the vicinity, with a projected restoration time of 4 PM after utility crews move the vehicle and replace the damaged pole. Authorities didn’t immediately say what led the motorist to lose control of her pickup.
