GRAND HAVEN, MI (WHTC) – The Ottawa County Prosecutors Office concluded that a 25-year-old motorcyclist, trying to outrun state police during a high-speed chase from Norton Shores to Ferrysburg this past June 4th, “caused his own death.” Raymond Meloche Junior lost control of his machine on a curve along a pitted 174th Avenue, hit a curb at Carmen Drive and was thrown from his motorcycle. The report claims that state troopers involved followed proper protocol in the nearly five mile-long pursuit.
