PARK, MI (WHTC) – A South Haven woman rolled her Mercedes Benz SUV after a two-car crash in Port Sheldon Township yesterday evening. 49-year-old Samantha Nash was driving her SUV east bound on New Holland St. when she came upon the intersection for 152nd Ave. She stopped at the stop sign briefly and proceeded into the intersection.
Thomas Stegenga, a 50-year-old resident of Holland, was travelling north bound on 152nd Ave. and had the right-of-way through the intersection. Stengenga struck Nash’s SUV, sending the car rolling. Nash’s vehicle came to a rest on its side and she was pinned briefly in the vehicle until Port Sheldon Fire and Rescue arrived on the scene to extricate her.
Nash was injured in the crash and was taken to Holland Community Hospital. She is listed in good condition. After deputies investigated the accident, they cited Nash for failing to yield the right of way.
