Voter Registration Deadline for Nov. 3 Election Nears

LANSING, MI (WHTC) – With Election Day five weeks from now, Michigan Secretary of State Ruth Johnson is reminding residents that the voter registration deadline for the November 3^rd balloting is next Monday, October 5^th. Municipal government seats are primarily up for grabs in this off-year election statewide, including contested races in Holland, Douglas, Hudsonville and Grand Haven. There is also an eight-person GOP primary for most of Allegan County to see who will run against Democrat David Gernant in a March 8^th Special Election for filling a state House seat vacated by Cindy Gamrat’s expulsion.
