HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Salvation Army of Holland kicked off a 1.5 million-dollar “Doing the Most Good” capital fundraising campaign in order to help finance a nearly four million-dollar expansion and renovation of its Clover Avenue facility just east of the Tulip City. Over the past three months, a quiet effort has collected just under a million dollars. Ministry officials are hopeful that the remaining amount can be gathered so ground can be broken next spring. More than 11 thousand “points of contact” was made by the local Salvation Army with individuals and families through its services and programs last year.
