PT. SHELDON TWP., MI (WHTC) – The US Coast Guard has called off its search for two boaters from the City of Wyoming missing, presumably in Lake Michigan, since around 4:30 AM Saturday. Family members of 40-year-old Aaron Juarez and 25-year-old Christopher Thode didn’t notify authorities about their disappearance until Tuesday evening. A truck and empty boat trailer the men used were found yesterday at the boat launch on Pigeon Lake in Port Sheldon Township. A number of vessels and aircraft unsuccessfully scoured nearly two thousand square nautical miles of Lake Michigan for two days without success.
