Flora May Nies age 91, of Holland, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022.
Flora was born in Grand Haven, MI, in 1930, to Lloyd and Dainy (Rowell) Dolphin. She has been a resident of the Holland area since 1950. Flora retired from Holland Hospital in 1992. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holland.
Flora was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Samantha Empson and Thomas Michael Miller, great-granddaughter, Kyra Lynn Smiles.
Surviving are her children, Kathleen (Rod) Miller, Steve (Dar) Nies, Sandra (Steve) Steggerda, Cindy (Bill) King, and Debbie Nies; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 am Saturday (January 22) at the First United Methodist Church, 57 West 10th Street. Burial is Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Visiting will be 6-8 pm Friday (January 21) at the Dykstra Funeral Home-Mulder Chapel.
