HUDSONVILLE, MI (WHTC) – A 40-year-old Crown Point, Indiana man made a brief appearance in Hudsonville District Court today for an arraignment on a misdemeanor moving violation causing death count stemming from a fatal crash on I-196 east of Hudsonville. Travis Fox pled not guilty and was freed on a thousand dollars bond. Prosecutors claim that he was eating a sandwich and looking at a GPS device on August 3rd when his pickup truck plowed into stopped traffic near the M-6 junction, killing 13-year-old David Talsma of Hudsonville and hospitalizing nine others. Fox could get a year in jail if convicted.
