HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The Metro Explorers Post 2043 which serves Kent and Ottawa Counties is seeking young men and women to join the Law Enforcement Explorers program.
Law Enforcement Exploring is designed for young people contemplating a career in law enforcement or a related field in the criminal justice system. It offers young adults between the ages of 14 (and have completed 8th grade) and 21 years old, a personal awareness of the criminal justice system through training, practical experiences, competition, and other activities.
The program is a 24 month experience exploring many aspects of law enforcement and public safety.
The open house is October 23 from 6-9:00 p.m. at City Commission Chambers at 4243 Remembrance Road NW in Walker, Michigan. It will inform parents of the upcoming year and give them the opportunity to sign up.
Parents and eligible youth are encourage to attend, meet with the members, and ask any and all questions concerning the program.
