10/19 Monday: Felt Mansion Darkness Tour- Darkness Tours Return. Tour at your own risk. Both the mansion and carriage house will be open for tours — but with no lighting. Tours will be self-guided- BRING A FLASHIGHT! Cameras and recording equipment are allowed. The only lighting in the rooms will be minimal e-candles in the windows, so, again, we warn: tour at your own risk.Public Tours will be $30.00 per person (no senior or children’s rates apply). This event is not recommended for children, or for anyone at risk for falling. Public tours do not require reservations – guests pay at the door. 6597 138th Ave., Laketown Twp; 8pm; $30.
10/20 Tuesday: Crane’s Orchard Corn Maze- We have a 20-acre Corn Maze; a lot of creative energy and a huge amount of work goes into this project every year to make it the best corn maze anywhere. (and, of course, so customers can enjoy even more family fun during their visit to Crane Orchards).Compared to our corn maze designs of previous years, this one will have many new and different challenges, For those of you who’ve tested the maze in previous years, it will be a new challenge and for you new maze visitors, this is a great family fall event. (each year we have a completely new maze design). 6054 124th Avenue, Fennville; 10am-6pm; Adults: $7 Ages 6 years to 10 years: $5 Kids 5 years old and below are free.
10/21 Wednesday: Nature Hour at the Outdoor Discovery Center- This is the last Nature Hour program of the season. You will explore the mysteries, beauty and uniqueness of our natural world with Mr. Tom. The content of the program will depend on the day and the ability of the group to spend time outdoors. Better weather days may have the group outside the entire time. Registration welcome. 11am-12pm; Free.
10/22 Thursday: Harvest 2015: Carving Party at New Holland Pub- Fun for kids of all ages. Join New Holland in our annual carving party! Pumpkins and carving tools will be provided, just bring your imagination. A fa-boo-lous time for the whole family. 66 East Eighth Street, Holland; 5pm-7pm; Free.
10/23 Friday: Hope College Homecoming- Come home and celebrate! Show your orange spirit and blue pride as you cheer on the flying Dutchmen and make memories with friends new and old while visiting your favorite spots in Holland. Homecoming weekend is loaded with fun events to connect with faculty, students, and other alumni. Friday’s activities include Homecoming on 8th Street , Academic & Arts Events, Kruizenga Art Museum Gallery, Volleyball & Hockey Games and Resource Center & Scavenger Hunt.
10/24 Saturday: Hope College Homecoming- The Flying Dutchmen Homecoming continues with Taste of the South with John and Kelly Knapp, Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts Opening Celebration, Homecoming 5K Run, Greek Life, Arts & Affinity Events, Volleyball, Soccer, Football & H-Club Tent, as well as a 25th Class Reunion Gathering.
10/25 Sunday: FREEQuent FMG Movie Series at the Holland 7- Goodrich Quality Theaters presents the NEW FreeQuent FMG Movie Series beginning September 12th! As the name implies, those belonging to our Frequent Moviegoer Club (FMG) will be able to see any movie below free-of-charge when they present their FMG card at the box office. Each member will get up to 6 free admissions with their FMG card per show. Non-members will be charged $1.00 per ticket. On Sunday, Oct. 25, Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb will be on the big screen! 500 Waverly Road, Holland; 9am and 10am.
