HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A 23-year-old Holland man is not contesting felony assault less than murder charges stemming from a September 13th incident in which a 22-year-old man was stabbed several times at a West 15th Street residence. Public Safety officers didn’t know about the incident until the unnamed victim, who was an acquaintance of Estaban Hernandez Jr. and had lived in the home, was admitted to Holland Hospital for treatment of his wounds. What was believed to be a meth lab was recovered at the residence. Hernandez agreed to the plea deal in order to have other counts against him dropped, including as an habitual offender, but he remains jailed and could still get up to 10 years in prison when he is sentenced on November 23rd.
