HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – The first meeting of the Civic Center Place Steering Committee is this evening in the Second Floor Training Center of Holland City Hall. Newly installed Mayor Nancy DeBoer, along with fellow city council members Brian Burch, Dave Hoekstra and Jay Peters is among the 16 panel members charged with developing a plan for renovating the Civic Center building and its immediate vicinity. Conceptual ideas have already been drawn up for the land with the intention of making it a connection between the downtown district and Kollen Park, which is adjacent to Lake Macatawa.
