WEST OLIVE, MI (WHTC) – The Ottawa County Parks and Recreation Commission holds a special meeting in the Fillmore Street Administration Building at 7 PM this evening. The members will be seeking public input into the 2016 Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Plan, reviewing progress made over the past four years since the last plan was adopted in 2011. This will include evaluating results of park user, county resident and online surveys, as well as national outdoor recreation participation data and an activity needs analysis. A time-line for adopting a new 10-year, long-range plan will also be discussed during the 7 PM session.
