HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland Public Safety & Holland Township firefighters needed only a very short time to put out a small fire at the Holland Energy Park construction site late on Monday afternoon. It only took about three minutes for crews to arrive in the area of 6th Street and Fairbanks Avenue, where they saw a blaze among construction materials on the roof of an under-construction structure, apparently started through a welding issue. The flames were kept to insulating materials, and on-site workers’ efforts helped contain the blaze greatly. No injuries were reported and damage was minimal.
