Small Fire Reported at Holland Energy Park Site

HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – Holland Public Safety & Holland Township firefighters needed only a very short time to put out a small fire at the Holland Energy Park construction site late on Monday afternoon. It only took about three minutes for crews to arrive in the area of 6^th Street and Fairbanks Avenue, where they saw a blaze among construction materials on the roof of an under-construction structure, apparently started through a welding issue. The flames were kept to insulating materials, and on-site workers’ efforts helped contain the blaze greatly. No injuries were reported and damage was minimal.
