HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – During Wednesday night’s Holland City Council meeting, the members approved, on a 6-2 vote, allowing alcohol at the Holland Civic Center through March 1st to accommodate two scheduled events that want to serve beer and wine by the glass. In addition, council also approved a quote from Holland Imports and Souvenirs to repair and refurbish the Windmill Island Carousel animals and chariots at a cost of $85,000. On Thursday night at 6 PM in the Second Floor Training Center of Holland City Hall, the final four hopefuls for an open Council seat – Seth Getz, Quincy Byrd, Ian McKay and Gerardo Tonini – will be interviewed by council members before they decide on who will complete the final two years of an at-large term that Nancy DeBoer vacated when she was elected Mayor a month ago.
