Have you got an ugly Christmas sweater? The City of Holland and the Board of Public Works wants to see it. They are running a contest — and the prize is a pricey programmable thermostat.
Share your ugly holiday sweater photo on the city’s Facebook page. You must be a residential BPW customer to enter.
The city is competing for the $5 million Georgetown Energy Prize, which challenges cities to develop long-term energy conservation plans.
Holland is one of 50 semifinalist cities competing for the prize. The Georgetown Energy winner will be announced in 2017.
BPW’s ugly sweater contest — which aims at raising energy saving awareness — runs through Dec. 31.
