Man Hurt, Dog Killed in Explosion at Storage Unit

MANILUS TWP., MI (WHTC) – One man was hurt and his dog was killed when a storage unit between Saugatuck and Hamilton exploded around 9:15 this morning. State police troopers say that a propane tank used in a legal medical marijuana growing operation burst at the Storage Unlimited complex off of 60^th Street. The injured man, who was not identified, was working at an adjacent unit when the explosion occurred and was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. No damage estimate was initially made as investigators continue to probe the incident.
