GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – A 35-year-old man was ordered held without bond in the Kent County Jail in what detectives say was an “execution-style” shooting death of his 31-year-old girlfriend from Holland. Jermaine Cooper was arraigned today in Grand Rapids District Court on an open murder charge. Calder City street sweepers claim to have seen Melissa Moore gunned down during the overnight hours of November 6th in the area of Knapp and Truxton streets. Cooper, who is the father of one of Moore’s two children, was apprehended last Friday after a seven-hour standoff at a Detroit house.
