HOLLAND, MI (WHTC) – A heavy-set Asian male, 5-4 with a dark complexion and short black hair, is being sought in connection with a Monday evening shooting that left two people dead in an apartment unit on Holland’s East Side.
Public Safety officers were called around 6:30 PM to the residence in the 300 block of Stratford Way just south of 12th Street. The victims were initially identified only as a 37-year-old woman who lived at the unit and a 40-year-old man, with at least two others in the apartment at the time unhurt. The suspect is believed to have fled in a four-door silver sedan, possibly a Lexus or a Honda. Students and staff were briefly held in a lockdown situation at Grand Valley State’s Meijer Campus in Holland before it was determined that they could leave the building safely.
