HOLLAND TWP., MI (WHTC) – Less than 24 hours after allegedly gunning down two persons in a Holland apartment unit, the body of a 51-year-old Zeeland man was found inside of a parked vehicle outside of the Lao Buddhist Temple on Holland’s North Side this afternoon.
Sheriff’s deputies believe that Bounthavee Nerasin killed himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene. The house of worship had been surrounded earlier after Nerasin’s parked vehicle was spotted.
Detectives believe that he had “targeted” 37-year-old Mani Khounvongsa and 40-year-old Gilberto Andrade-Pena at a Stratford Way residence, shooting her to death in a hallway outside of the unit, and gunning down Andrade-Pena inside of the apartment. Two others in the unit at the time of the double shootings were not hurt.
An investigation continues.
