NORTON SHORES, MI (WHTC) – Norton Shores police are searching for a balding black man in his 40’s with a scruffy beard who allegedly tried to lure a 15-year-old Mona Shores High student into his white van, with rust around the passenger side rear wheel, around 11 AM yesterday morning. The victim, who was waiting for a school bus at the corner of Grand Haven and Mount Garfield roads, told school officials that the man told her that if she didn’t get into the vehicle they would “have a problem,” but she refused and the van drove off when the bus arrived. The district sent an “alert and action” notice to parents today. Tips to Norton Shores Police or Muskegon County Silent Observer (231-72-CRIME) are welcome.
