GRAND RAPIDS, MI (WHTC) – The Grand Rapids Home for Veterans has a new Chief Operating Officer. Starting next Monday, Scott Blakeney takes over the helm of that facility’s operations, working closely with state Veteran Health System CEO Leslie Shanlian and Jacobetti Home for Veterans COO Brad Slagle “to ensure both state veterans’ homes continue to offer modern, quality care for residents,” says state Veterans Affairs Agency Director Jeff Barnes. With nearly 25 years of career leadership experience, Blakeney comes to his new post after serving as a director with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
